Housings and lighting only are available for hire.  We do not hire video cameras or filters.

Hire charges are on a daily or weekly basis.  A "day" is any 24-hour period.  A "week" consists of any 7-day period.

Charges will be payable from the day the equipment leaves the premises of Australian Underwater Video Housings. Full costs of hire must be pre-paid prior to shipping.  This may be made by direct deposit or cheque.  If no other means are available, credit card payment is also acceptable. 

Where at the customer's request, delivery is made by Australian Underwater Video Housings, Australian Underwater Video Housings shall have absolute discretion as to the mode of delivery.  The delivery will be at the risk and the expense of the customer.

It is a requirement that the hirer provides insurance cover for the full replacement value of the equipment.  The "equipment" is both the housing and the hirers' own personal equipment.  Australian Underwater Video Housings should be included and named as joint insured under this policy of insurance.  The hirer must provide documentary evidence of such insurance prior to hiring.  Alternatively, a deposit of the full replacement value for the housing can be made prior to shipping.  Credit card details will also be required in this instance.

Australian Underwater Video Housings is not liable for any leaking damage to either the housing or the hirers' videocamera inside.  The risk is that of the hirers themself and should be insured as such.  That the equipment will be used underwater must be mentioned to your insurance company.  They must be made aware it may also be used in salty, sandy, hot or cold conditions.

The equipment remains the risk of the insured from the time it leaves the premises of Australian Underwater Video Housings until the time it is returned, accepted and inspected by us.  During this period, if the housing is lost or damaged, the hirer is liable for the full replacement or repair of the housing.  This includes scratches to lenses and dome ports.  The hirer is responsible for hire charges while the equipment is out of use, until it is repaired or replaced, up to a maximum of 13 weeks.

Cancellation of booked or reserved equipment within 48 hours of the collection time or pre-arranged hire time, will incur a fee equal to 50% of the original hire fee.  A cancellation within 24 hours will incur the full rental fee.
